WHY I DO IT

Jersey Shore Jazz Workshop - (JSJW) I play music because it is fun. I believe this is the key to why I continue to play music. I believe it should be this way for all musicians, including our students. I'm serious about teaching and the study of this music, but I always make lessons engaging and fun.

Putting a band together is hard work for a full-time professional, let alone for a part-time musician. Finding band members, preparing music, and scheduling rehearsals which everyone can make is time consuming. I take the administrative part out of the equation. You just practice and play.

JSJW also collaborates with art councils, performing arts centers and other workshops nationally and internationally to share the love of learning while connecting with other musician communities

PRACTICING AND TAKING PRIVATE LESSONS IS HOW WE LEARN MUSIC, BUT PLAYING IN A BAND IS WHY WE LEARN MUSIC!
